| Well, now that Thanksgiving has come, I feel like the Holidays have officially started!!!! KSBJ is playing Christmas music all through Christmas and I am so thrilled! Its so fun to listen to it all the time. And even though I don’t really like cold weather, it does seem more fitting for the holidays. Soon decorations will be up, and shopping and wrapping will be under way. And I always watch the Charlie Brown movies that come on during the holidays which is why I picked out this background! ( but its kinda hard to read without highlighting, sorry) Anyways, when I figure out how, I’m gonna play ‘Linus & Lucy’ on the site, but I need to ask my sister. I'm going to go make cookies with Becca now and maybe see a movie later?!
P.S. I saw Pride and Prejudice yesterday and melted, I know that sounds weird but there is really no other word for it, it was that excellent.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Astros are headed for the World Series!!!!
After watching the game, and trying to study for a test, (hahaha) I went with some friends to get National League shirts and a hat! The line was 21/2 hours long but I really didn't care. We had so much fun visiting and celebrating. Everybody was honking their horns and yelling. The 18-wheelers on the overpass were honking too 'cause they knew, obviously, why there were 3,000 people in the parking lot. Ahh, it was soooo fun and I had a blast. It was a major upside to a really bad week. So hopefully I'll see some of you church people soon, 'cause it feels like forever. ~ Arrivederci
| I think this is too cute!
NAIROBI, Jan 6: A baby-hippopotamus that survived the tsumani waves on the Kenyan coast has formed a strong bond with a giant male century-old tortoise, in an animal facility in the port city of Mombasa. The hippopotamus, nicknamed Owen and weighing about 300 kilograms, was swept down Sabaki River into the Indian Ocean, then forced back to shore when tsumani waves struck the Kenyan coast on Dec 26, before wildlife rangers rescued him.
"It is incredible. A-less-than-a-year-old hippo has adopted a male tortoise, about a century old, and the tortoise seems to be very happy with being a 'mother'," ecologist Paula Kahumbu said.
"After it was swept and lost its mother, the hippo was traumatised. It had to look for something to be a surrogate mother. Fortunately, it landed on the tortoise and established a strong bond. They swim, eat and sleep together," the ecologist added.
"The hippo follows the tortoise exactly the way it follows its mother. If somebody approaches the tortoise, the hippo becomes aggressive, as if protecting its biological mother," Kahumbu added.
"The hippo is a young baby, he was left at a very tender age and by nature, hippos are social animals that like to stay with their mothers for four years," he explained. In 2002, a barren Kenyan lioness made several attempts to play mother to baby antelopes, one of which ended with a rival lion making a meal out of the calf.
| Guess What! ?????!?!?!?!?!?!
I got a kitten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes, that's right, we are now the proud owners of a calico kitten named Molly! She is so adorable and tiny! It's so hard to get any school done because all I wanna do is play with her. Everything that goes on in our house is completely captivating to her and she pounces it to investigate. She is so cute! ( this says laughing but whatever, I'm just really happy) Well, enough about that, I just absoutley had to share. I don't know about y'all but ever since I got back from 'Hurricane Rita break', I've been piled with tests. It's so discouraging to get behind, 'cause then in lecture I am so lost. Oh well, all I can do is to just buckle down & study. One thing that has really helped me this week is Psalm 62:2, "He alone is my rock and the One Who saves me. He is my strong place. I will not be shaken." How reassuring as we drudge through school. Speaking of, thats what I'm off to do, & to help fix supper.

| Hey Everyone!
Hopefully, I'll get into the habit of updating on a regular basis. (but don't hold your breath) Anyways, tonight I talked to Mandy and she said she found a good deal for some of us S.S. girls to go see WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we all need to decide if we want to go or not. Wicked will be at the Hobby Center October 26- November 13, but I don't know the day she has picked out. I'm so excited! She said all of us girls put this as an activity. And we also wanted a Galleria and Harwin trip! How cool would that be?!?! Tonight, I talked to Alyssa and my disposition is much improved. I miss her a lot though. Maybe she could come see Wicked with us.....
I'm a greeter tomorrow so I'm gonna go now.
